Hello peeps!
Sorry for not updating this comm for a while. I had been busy and I thought no one really checks out this place anyway since I didn't pimp it anywhere. But since lately some of you left comments here, it made me realize that I should move my lazy ass and post a wank since hey, people do read my wank posts! =D
This time, I'm going to write about Poopy and K-pop, particularly Paran.
To be honest, I'm not a K-pop fan. I do listen to some K-pop songs but my knowledge about K-pop scene is really limited. So, ignore the lack of facts in this entry, pleaseeeee?
But I'm sure K-pop fans are aware that once upon a time, Paran was supposed to come to Malaysia and do a concert. Together with U-Kiss, they're supposed to perform at Sunway Amphitheater on 30th November 2008. Guess who's the organiser? It was our dear Poopy! I bet everyone guessed that right!

After
the very last-minute cancellation of FT Island's concert on March 2008, the announcement of Paran's concert gave a new hope of seeing some K-pop action in Malaysia. However, some fans were also worried whether Paran's concert would go on as being planned, or whether it would fall apart just like FT Island's concert. FT Island's concert was not organised by Poprainbow, but some fans expressed their worry that Paran's concert would not happen since Poopy is not an established event organizer after all. Besides that, some complains that the ticket price of Paran's concert was pricey.
Just days before the actual concert date, Paran's concert was cancelled. It's not as dramatic as the cancellation of FT Island's concert, but it was able to make fans pissed off by the cancellation.
Guess what? Paran's managing company, NH Media, blamed Poopy.
A statement from NH Media says this:
"The organisers have failed to pay the deposit of the concert and they also did not sign the contract document we provided them so the contract has become void."
On the other hand, one of Poopy's staffs claimed that the concert was actually cancelled because the tickets didn't sell well. It was also said that in a discussion with NH Media, they reached an mutual agreement to postpone the concert date to somewhere in 2009. But in their official statement, NH Media said that the concert was cancelled and blamed Poopy for it.
For me, it's really simple. The ticket price was too expensive and there was lack of promotion. It's no surprise that the tickets didn't sell well.
It was really 'brave' for Poopy for deciding to do a concert as their
first project. Or should I say, 'over-confident'? Why not start with something on a smaller scale?
I don't even want to imagine what sort of curse words did Poopy's staffs use when they found out that NH Media blamed them on this incident.
By the way, between a successful boyband managing company and an unknown event organiser, I choose to trust the first one. Hahahahahhahaha *evil laugh*
